Job Details 

We are seeking an accomplished AVP of Sales to lead and scale our Insurance Vertical following a record-breaking year in bookings and team performance. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this high-visibility leadership role is responsible for guiding and developing a team of six Regional Sales Leaders and Account Executives. The ideal candidate thrives in growth environments, builds elite teams, and translates strategy into consistent, repeatable execution.

You will inherit a strong-performing sales organization, a differentiated product, and significant market momentum. Your mission is to accelerate growth, elevate performance, and position the Insurance vertical as a flagship engine of revenue for InvoiceCloud.

  • Owns the overall performance, bookings results, and revenue outcomes for the Insurance vertical, consistently exceeding quarterly and annual targets.
  • Develops and executes a clear sales strategy aligned with company objectives, translating growth goals into disciplined execution across regions.
  • Optimizes territory design, account coverage, pipeline management, and forecasting rigor to maximize conversion and revenue predictability.
  • Personally engages in strategic, high-value opportunities and executive-level deals to drive material business impact.

  • Coaches, develops, and elevates a team of experienced sellers, setting a high bar for performance, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Creates and sustains a high-performance culture grounded in transparency, collaboration, and ownership of outcomes.
  • Serves as a visible leader and role model for disciplined sales execution, reinforcing best practices and consistent operating standards.
  • Identifies scalable best practices and replicates success across regions to strengthen team capability and results.
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Establishes and refines sales processes, pipeline hygiene, and forecasting discipline to support scalable growth and operational excellence.
  • Leverages data, insights, and performance trends to inform decisions, improve conversion rates, and prioritize the highest-impact initiatives.
  • Partners closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to align go-to-market execution and remove friction.
  • Uses data, automation, and emerging AI-enabled insights to improve pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and execution efficiency at scale.
Executive Presence & Market Leadership
  • Acts as a subject-matter leader within the Insurance market, representing InvoiceCloud with credibility and authority.
  • Builds strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including VP- and C-suite-level executives.
  • Represents the Insurance vertical internally and externally as the business scales, influencing cross-functional alignment and strategic direction.
  • Demonstrates strong executive presence and communication skills to influence across functions and drive change.
Experience
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with 5+ years in sales leadership
  • Proven success leading regional or vertical sales teams in a growth-stage or scaling organization
  • Experience selling enterprise or mid-market SaaS, fintech, or complex solutions (Insurance and payments experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets and building high-performing teams

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors. 

Base Compensation Range
$160,000$180,000 USD
