About the role


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Fund Administrator to join our team and be responsible for a senior role with one of the Trusts that Tidal sponsors or external trusts sponsored by Tidal clients and partners. This role requires a strong ability to assist a team of administrators with various experience levels, prioritize in a constantly evolving workload, as well as to have very high proficiency in Excel and other financial applications.


The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable to pace of work, and eager to work cross-functionally with various service providers and clients in the ETF ecosystem, as well as all internal groups within the organization. Also, we prefer the candidate to bring strong ETF industry experience and a collaborative mindset. This role will be responsible for guiding the day-to-day administration of a wide range of ETFs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and operational standards, but ultimately under the oversight of a Trust Administration Manager. 


What you'll do

  • Provide guidance, training and development for staff administrators 
  • Assist in managing daily fund accounting oversight, including NAV review 
  • Assist in coordinating with third-party service providers (administrators (if applicable), fund accountants, custodians, auditors, and legal counsel) to support fund operations 
  • Review financial statements, board reports, and regulatory filings including Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, 24f-2, N-PX and N-CSR – as prepared internally or by external service providers. 
  • Prepare/review fund expenses and accruals, including fee waivers and other related fund expenses 
  • Assist/Review in new fund launches, including operational setup, vendor onboarding, and documentation review 
  • Collaborate with internal teams across compliance, legal, capital markets, and client services 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and controls 
  • Assist with regulatory exams, internal audits, and due diligence reviews 

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of related work experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. MBA is desirable.  
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities quickly and effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment is very important 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Experience in fund administration, ETF operations, or financial services is expected in this role. 
  • Specific experience and knowledge with SEC regulatory requirements for funds is required.
