The AVP Finance Analytics Manager, will be a key member of the Bermuda Finance leadership team working collaboratively with various departments to provide financial guidance, challenge traditional processes, and support business development and strategic initiatives. The candidate will have strong data analysis and problem-solving skills coupled with an enthusiasm for technological enhancements, accuracy, and attention to detail. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and would be best suited for an organized, communicative, and collaborative leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CFO to ensure integrity of Arch Reinsurance, Ltd.’s financial information and development of management information and analysis of financial results
- Direct the advancement of efficiencies and best practices, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, incl. appropriate policies, and procedures
- Partner across the business to provide information and tools they need to drive the business forward
- Work across teams and geographies to implement and enhance financial systems and reporting tools, upgrades, and automation initiatives
- Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
- Analysis of forecast and actuals to present key trends to executive team
- Ad hoc projects and duties as required to assist in management decision making
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA or equivalent)
- At least 10 years’ post qualification experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a property and casualty re/insurance company
- Strong understanding of leading technology and automation trends, processes, structural designs, and other best practices, with demonstrated experience creating process efficiencies
- Very strong analytical, documentation, organizational and presentation skills
- Excellent communication at all levels of the organization, with a strong desire to make an impact on the business
- Experience with Power BI; Snowflake; WDesk/WData; and the Anaplan platform would be advantageous
- Capable of delivering results both independently and as part of a team, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- A natural ability to use initiative and self-manage, with ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
- Strong computer skills, in particular, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel and Access
- Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays if required
