The AVP of Reporting & Analytics will be a key member of the team responsible for the delivery of robust reporting and analytics solutions for LPL’s Supervision organization. This role will be responsible for the creation of analytics, insights and reporting in support of Supervision.  The AVP will work with all levels of staff in the various divisions of LPL Financial. The candidate must have experience with data analysis, databases, dashboard development, and leveraging AI in an analytical role. You will assist in the development of data sources used to identify and share insights with the business. In this position, you will develop high quality actionable Supervision dashboards with the intent to drive insights into the business. The candidate’s ability to effectively interact with our business stakeholders, understand data science concepts, and leverage AI tools for business insights will be key to success in this role

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Supervision stakeholders, business analysts, and data analysts to develop solutions to support the Supervision line of business
  • Develop insightful dashboards that summarize business activity and surface key actionable metrics
  • Leverage Tableau and Snowflake to develop automated reporting
  • Leverage AI tools (copilot, Cursor, etc) to derive insight from existing business data
  • Understanding of Data Science concepts and how they can be applied to the business data
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the information delivered is impactful to the business
  • Perform at a high standard where quality, accuracy, innovation and effectiveness are top priorities
  • Focus on delivering insights accurately and on time.
  • Partner with other analytics teams to ensure business goals are met

Requirements:

  • Tableau: 5+ years
  • Analytics Supporting a Business Unit: 2+ years
  • Leveraging AI to Support Analytics: 1+ years
  • SQL/Snowflake: 3+ years writing and maintaining independent reporting queries (joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations) in an enterprise data warehouse environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Core Competencies:

  • Highly proficient using Tableau to design interactive dashboards
  • Highly proficient partnering with stakeholders to understand their business and develop reporting solutions to meet their needs
  • Proficient with AI tools to analyze and derive insights from data
  • Experience supporting an Enterprise Reporting Infrastructure with a focus on automation
  • Self-service SQL capability for reporting: can validate data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and deliver reliable outputs while coordinating with Data Engineering on pipeline context and dependencies.
  • Experience with statistical and data science concepts and how they can be applied in a business setting
  • Experience leveraging data warehouses for reporting and analysis
  • Ability to translate business questions into accurate, production-ready reporting queries without relying on engineering for day-to-day query development.

Preferences:

  • Preferred major in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, MIS

 

Pay Range:

$103,309.00 - $172,113.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
