Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Alternative Investments, plays a crucial role in supporting the growth and operational excellence of LPL Financial's Alternative investment Operations. This position involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance product offerings, streamline processes, and ensure a seamless experience for advisors and their clients engaging with alternative investments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Product & Platform Support: Act as a subject matter expert on alternative investment products (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real estate, private credit) offered through LPL, providing support to advisors, internal sales teams, and operational departments.
- Operational Enhancement: Identify and implement process improvements for alternative investment workflows, including subscription, redemptions, reporting, and due diligence, to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Advisor Education & Communication: Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and communications to advisors regarding alternative investment products, platform updates, and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Assist in the ongoing relationship management with third-party alternative investment providers, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and contract review.
- Risk & Compliance: Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure all alternative investment activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze alternative investment data to identify trends, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to internal reporting for senior management.
- Project Management: Participate in and lead projects related to new product launches, platform enhancements, and strategic initiatives within the alternative investments space.
- Client Experience Focus: Work to continually improve the advisor and client experience with alternative investments by gathering feedback and implementing solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, with at least 3 years specifically focused on alternative investments (e.g., product management, operations, research, or due diligence)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field OR related work experience
- FINRA Series 99 required
Core Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management experience running projects as a business/product owner.
- Experience with alternative investment platforms, CRM systems, and data analytics tools is highly desirable. (DTCC AIP, SS&C Alt Serv, Subscribe)
- BETA experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CoPilot).
- Deep understanding of various alternative investment strategies, structures, and regulatory considerations.
- FINRA Series 7, 24, or 27 is highly preferred.
- CFA or CAIA designation, or progress towards, is a significant plus.
Pay Range:
$91,348-$152,247/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
