This role integrates roadmap, governance, financial, dependency, partner, and executive-review inputs into clear decisions, controlled changes, accountable actions, and closure. The Portfolio Manager coordinates the Portfolio team's operating work across demand, reporting, governance, analysis, and cross-mission execution.
What You Will Do:
  • Run the Portfolio operating rhythm, including review readiness, integrated agendas, decision paths, action closure, and escalation follow-through.
  • Maintain the integrated portfolio roadmap and governance view across Objectives, Customer Market Requirements, Epics, Features, Milestones, dependencies, evidence, baselines, forecasts, and controlled changes.

  • Operate Financial Governance reviews and closure, using authoritative financial, SOW, supplier, forecast, funding, and invoice information prepared by Finance and the Finance Program Manager.
  • Lead delegated cross-domain and external-dependency orchestration, ensuring material impacts are connected to milestones, decisions, owners, escalation paths, and closure evidence.
  • Coordinate deployment and continuous improvement of the Portfolio Operating Model, Ways of Working interfaces, governance standards, and controlled documentation.

  • Direct and coordinate Portfolio team work, protect clear accountability, and ensure recurring work transfers from temporary bridges to named owners.

What You Will Have:
  • Planning: Tactical and Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and the ability to connect near-term operating plans, multi-year roadmaps, resources, dependencies, and business objectives.
  • Program and Portfolio Management: Knowledge of practices used to organize, govern, monitor, and integrate multiple complex digital programs and interdependent workstreams.
  • Project Administration: Ability to establish operating discipline, maintain decision and action traceability, resolve conflicts, and ensure work follows defined governance processes.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate incomplete or conflicting information, frame options and consequences, and drive timely, evidence-based decisions.
  • Organizational Leadership: Ability to coordinate diverse teams, assign clear ownership, influence across organizational boundaries, and deputize effectively for senior leadership.
  • Change Control: Knowledge of processes used to identify, evaluate, approve, communicate, monitor, and document material changes to scope, sequence, funding, milestones, and commitments.
  • Project Control and Reporting: Ability to integrate roadmap, delivery, financial, risk, dependency, and partner information into concise, credible reporting and executive decision support.

Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience leading portfolio or program governance across multiple technical teams, programs, suppliers, or partner organizations.

  • Ability to operate at both executive and working-team altitudes without absorbing accountability that belongs to Product, TPM, Mission Lead, Architecture, Engineering, Finance, or the RTE.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Power BI, or comparable portfolio and work-management tools, including traceability, dependency, and reporting concepts.
