We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As an Automation Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Designs and maintains scalable test automation frameworks using Expresso (Android) and XCUITest (IOS)
  • Integrates frameworks with CI/CD pipelines. (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions for continuous testing.)
  • Writes, integrates, manages, and executes Gherkin scenarios using tools such as Cucumber BDD, Maven, Appium, Eclipse, IntelliJ, XCODE, and Android Studio, specifically for the Chase Mobile application
  • Collaborates with product and design team to ensure mobile apps meet ADA accessibility standards and works closely with developers to triage and resolve issues quickly
  • Identifies, documents, and tracks bugs using tools like JIRA, providing clear and reproducible steps
  • Codes, test, and implements high quality Java/Selenium programs for automation of highly complex enterprise application system, running complex workflow engine and rich GUI, working as part of a global Agile team
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 3+ years applied experience
  • Proficient in coding in programming languages and tools to write test scripts, such as: Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, React, Cucumber, Cypress
  • Experience writing automation scripts using espresso and XCUI.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meticulously document test results and defects in tracking tools, such as Jira
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers
  • Hands-on experience in Analytics testing using Data watch and experience with Accessibility Testing (ADA WCAG 2.1 Checkpoints)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Experience with automation tools for analytics validation
  • Experience with applitools for VQA validations.
