As a Quant Analytics Director on the Auto Pricing team, you will lead a team responsible for Pricing, Data Analytics, and Competitive Intelligence. You will be responsible for developing pricing frameworks, set pricing strategy leveraging competitive intelligence, pricing analytics, and pricing tests to optimize long-term shareholder value added (SVA) for the Chase Auto line of business. You will also lead developing a best-in-class pricing Analytics framework as well as coordination and preparation of pricing recommendations across Retail, Private Label, and Direct Auto. You must also develop strong relationships with clients and partners to develop clear and concise reports of all analysis for discussion with various levels of management within Chase Auto and Consumer & Community Banking, as needed.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding the Auto finance industry competitive landscape and developing pricing winning strategies to grow Chase Auto market share and profitability
  • Manage Private Label pricing teams responsible for pricing decisions and client facing relationship
  • Develop pricing strategy based on capital allocation to optimize Return on Equity and shareholder value
  • Improve the communication of market share and pricing competitive intelligence and develop further analysis to understand lenders economics and operating model
  • Responsible for leading a team of ricing managers and competitive intelligence to build on the current price decision analytic processes and recommendation
  • Supervise the design and development of a broad range of pricing models
  • Monitor the performance of developed models in accordance with established company model risk policies. This includes performance back-testing, benchmarking model performance against the performance of similar models, and documenting results in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Develop collaborative and influential relationships with Finance, Product/Pricing, Sales, Operations, Credit, and Data Management teams to improve communication, analytics and refine reporting and actionable recommendations
  • Take initiative and demonstrate innovation in the identification and development of new metrics, report design, creation, implementation, reporting processes, and areas of analytic focus


Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • 7 years of experience in Banking, Finance, or related fields
  • Exceptional communication skills in planned and ad hoc situations and persuasive/clear in verbal and written presentations to various levels of the organization
  • Proven track record managing and developing a high performing team
  • Reporting and information analysis, insights development, and executive reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with track record of innovation, initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, embracing change, catalyst for change, and creative problem solving to achieve business objectives


Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Experience in the Auto finance industry preferred (or comparable pricing function)
