About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Audit Director on the Financial Crimes Audit Team (FiCAT). The Audit Director will be an integral part of the FiCAT leadership team. The Financial Crimes Audit Team provides horizontal audit coverage of financial crimes risk across Wells Fargo lines of business. FiCAT oversees, manages, and executes BSA/AML/OFAC related audits across Wells Fargo lines of business, and evaluates the system of internal controls and processes related to financial crimes. $173,300.00 - $359,900.00

In this role, you will:
- Manage multiple teams responsible for covering defined segments of the Audit Plan
- Assess the control effectiveness and governance structure of segments of the Audit Plan and for completion of related audit engagements
- Plan and organize work in an annual and beyond cycle, not just project cycle
- Ensure audit plan and engagements are risk-based and executed according to Internal Audit policies and guidance
- Build and maintain proficient leadership teams
- Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with leadership and other stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Audit
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- 8+ years of Audit, Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes
- Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
- Experience in Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML), International, Sanctions regulations and/or financial crimes risk, specifically with regard to Transaction Monitoring, Suspicious Activity Reporting or Investigations
- Experience leading audit teams focused on Financial Crimes, specifically Transaction Monitoring, Suspicious Activity Reporting or Investigations at large banking institutions
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders across senior levels in an organization
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and building an effective audit approach to evaluate information and risk in this ever-changing risk environment
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or higher
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to influence management, build strong trusted relationships and drive change designed to mitigate risk.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven leadership experience with multi-functional teams across multiple locations
- Proven leadership experience building highly talented individuals and teamsJob Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
