The Assurance Technology Business Partner partners with the Assurance Operations Leader, IT, and Assurance professionals to drive operational excellence across the practice. This role serves as a bridge between business strategy and technology execution and is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, implementing technology, automating manual processes, and supporting the adoption of innovative tools that enhance audit quality, increase efficiency, utilization, and improve the team member experience.


The ideal candidate combines process improvement expertise, strong practice line knowledge, strong execution skills, and a passion for technology with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and drive organizational change. Success in this role is measured by business outcomes, technology adoption, operational improvements, and value realization.


Responsibilities

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with operational leader on audit technology initiatives and maintain the Assurance technology roadmap.
  • Support the intake and portfolio process to identify, prioritize, and advocate for technology investments that support business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into actionable technology initiatives via business cases.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve audit operational processes.
  • Drive standard operating procedures and process documentation, including visual workflows.

Technology Adoption

  • Drive adoption of practice technologies.
  • Measure and communicate utilization, business outcomes, and value realization from technology investments.
  • Engage in all phases of technology and process implementation, including post-implementation support.

Change Management & Training

  • Lead change management efforts for new processes and technology implementations.
  • Develop training materials and user adoption programs.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for audit professionals and support teams.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between Audit Operations Leader, IT, and external vendors.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand operational challenges and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Lead technology pilot programs by coordinating testing, measuring business impact, gathering stakeholder feedback, and developing recommendations for implementation and broader adoption.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on product enhancements and implementation initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role and practice.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, information systems, technology, or a related field required

·         Minimum of three years of experience in a public accounting environment, at least one of which has been spent at Elliott Davis

·         Manager preferred

·         Strong understanding of practice line

·         Fundamental knowledge of technology

·         Understanding of project management methodologies and change management strategies

·         Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

·         Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence, collaboration, and relationship building
