Position Overview:
- The Associate Sales Representative plays a key role in driving growth for Salvin Dental by supporting clinical education initiatives, contributing to sales efforts, and building product expertise within the organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that offers exposure across multiple areas of the business, including customer engagement, training, and technical product support.
- In this position, you will partner closely with sales leadership, internal teams, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support educational events, strengthen customer relationships, and help drive product adoption. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of sales and product training, helping to elevate the effectiveness of the broader team.

Who you’ll work with:
- Reports directly to the President of Salvin Dental
- Partners closely with Regional Sales Managers, Customer Service, and Operations teams
- Works alongside Clinical Education leadership and Sales Trainers to support onboarding and development of the sales team
- Collaborates with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external partners at industry events and trainings
What You’ll Do:
- Clinical Education (CE) – Sales, Support, and Logistics (40%) – Manages and drives performance outcomes across all clinical education efforts.
- Liaises with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to ensure Salvin branded products are consistently and appropriately being utilized, demonstrated, and promoted at surgical courses and meetings.
- Attends CE meetings, seminars, and courses to establish and grow customer relationships and drive sales of Salvin products at such events.
- Oversees and ensures tradeshow and event logistics are coordinated timely and effectively.
- Acts as Team Lead to Charlotte-based sales representative, including providing guidance/direction to work prioritization, resolution of daily issues, and overall management support.
- Sales and Product Training (40%) –
- Develops, maintains, and refines applicable materials to support sales training, product training (existing and new), and other ad hoc systems or processes training.
- Effectively delivers training to: newly hired reps, existing sales/CS reps relative to new product/techniques/processes, and on an as-needed basis to support targeted employee development.
- Measures and reports on the results of training efforts in order to identify opportunities for further improvement/enhancement.
- Technical/Clinical Product Specialist (20%) – Acts as the ‘Subject Matter Expert’ relative to Salvin’s existing and to-be-launches product portfolio.
- Handles elevated/complex technical customer calls and inquiries.
- Provides technical and clinical sales support as needed.
- Partners with sales management and marketing to share insights which may be utilized in marketing materials, sell sheets, scripts, etc.
- Stays abreast of the competitive landscape to best understand how Salvin’s existing and potential new products compare.

QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or relevant industry exposure (dental/medical a plus).
- Foundational understanding of sales techniques with a strong interest in developing product knowledge, particularly within oral surgery or dental products.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new information to support customer needs and drive results.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions and escalate when appropriate.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with customers.
- Basic business and financial acumen with a desire to grow in understanding how sales impacts overall business performance.
- Comfortable working with data and metrics; ability to track activity and report on progress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to take action in a fast-paced environment.Able to use a personal computer and spend several hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
- Lifting supplies and materials from time to time, up to 50 lbs.
- Travel - Ability to travel to approximately 15 CE events/tradeshows/courses per year across the United States.
Physical Requirements/Working Locations – This role works both in an office environment as well as a Distribution environment.
Office/Remote Environment
This position is based in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. It requires regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Some roles may involve wearing a headset and sustained computer use for 8 or more hours per day. Employees may be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, and occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
Manufacturing/Distribution Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment. Individuals must be able to distinguish and understand verbal communication including instructions, safety warnings, and team discussions, sometimes in an environment with moderate to high background noise.
