Job DescriptionResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the rights and clearances department inclusive of music services, licenses, royalties and renewals;
Research rights and clearances status for current programs and our archive;
Support efforts to create a sustainable system for tracking and researching rights;
Partner closely and communicate regularly with Legal, Rights & Clearances, Finance, Production, Post-Production, and the Archive to ensure alignment across divisions;
Assist in communication with our distribution partners;
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and legal developments around copyright, fair use, and content licensing;
Other relevant duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will be extremely organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to support multiple projects under tight deadlines, and will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional qualifications include:
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
Knowledge and experience with research and/or accessing databases;
Demonstrated ability to manage given tasks and projects independently;
Interest in learning about non-profit media distribution;
A background in music and musical knowledge is a plus but not required.

The WNET Group offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $54,000.00 - $56,000.00. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
