About

This is a unique opportunity to join a mission driven organization transforming the U.S. electricity market by switching homes and businesses to 100% clean, pollution-free energy.

Job Description 

This individual will have a proven track record of success in supporting the late stage development and construction of utility scale solar and/or other renewable energy projects. The candidate will work closely in supporting Developers and EPC Project Managers beginning with late stage development through the construction lifecycle. The candidate will be assuming responsibility for but not limited to project acquisition review and diligence, vendor management, procurement contract management, , permitting execution, project schedules, project budgets, site visits, and project payment support, for utility scale solar projects in ISONE, NYISO, and PJM. This will include working with both internal and external resources including development and EPC partners to reach project milestones and hand projects over to the construction team for execution. The Associate Project Manager will report to the Sr. Director of PreConstruction, Generation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the technical diligence of acquisition development opportunities. 
  • Supporting the EPC Team in meeting annual business plan targets on time and on budget.
  • Conduct independent sites visits to assess project viability and risk assessment.
  • Manage landowner relationships. 
  • Create and submit compliance reporting for active project contracts and awards.
  • Support EPC Project Management at construction meetings.
  • Support EPC contract management and reporting. 
  • Maintain procurement cash forecast for project pipeline.
  • Maintain all domestic content and safe harbor records in advance of financial closings.
  • Support EPC project management in preparing and managing project schedules and budgets, clearly communicating reasonable milestone dates.
  • Coordinate proposals, work orders and invoice review with consultants and vendors.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams including Development, FP&A, Project Finance, and Legal.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date project files and records for the EPC teams. 

 Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant field (i.e. technical, business, science). 
  • Effective organizational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively work within multi-disciplinary project teams, establishing sound relationships and work efficiently and courtesy with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in geographically dispersed environments.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs, ArcGIS or cloud based geospatial analysis experience and solar modeling software experience a plus.

Travel

  • 20% - 30% travel depending on project needs.
