Our global Clinical Research team, who powers our PPD® clinical research portfolio, is our leading global contract research organization (CRO). We provide comprehensive, integrated drug development, laboratory, and lifecycle management services. Our customers include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, academic and government organizations.

Location:
This is a home-based, remote full-time position within the United States. 

Discover Impactful Work:
Join our PPD team as an Associate Manager, Site Network Marketing Operations. This position oversees a small team and manages all phases of marketing campaigns for our clinical Site Networks. The role includes developing strategies, implementing marketing tactics, and executing tasks such as planning, budget control, targeting/list selection, production management, and ROI analysis. The Associate Manager will also drive the optimization of financial performance through ongoing program analysis and continuous process improvement.

A day in the Life:

  • Develop strategies and implements marketing tactics. Assists with planning, budget control, targeting/list selection, production management and ROI analysis. Support optimization of financial performance through on-going program analysis and continuous process improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic marketing plans. Establish schedules, budgets and testing plans. 
  • Utilize analytics to review results and drive campaign optimization throughout the life of projects. Track and analyze results to ensure that programs are meeting required financial hurdles. 
  • Manage productivity and priorities of resources. Lead all areas of outreach production including relationships with existing vendors and evaluations with potential new vendors. 
  • Manage the development and testing optimization of creative materials and ensures strict adherence of approved creative assets through deployment. Identify effective messaging and positioning of outreach efforts. 
  • Develop cost analyses and strive to identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and adhere to budgets.
  • Manage staff to include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, performance management, coaching and mentoring.

Keys to success:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous clinical research and marketing experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable up to 5+ years).
  • 1+ year of leadership responsibility
  • In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex strategic marketing plans (preferably in a clinical research area) 
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive results. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Excellent English written, verbal and presentation skills. 
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage outside agencies/vendors to fulfill project objectives.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet

Management Role:

  • Manages experienced professionals and / or subordinate management who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Often heads one or more sections or a small department.

Salary Transparency
This is a salaried role that will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Compensation will be initially discussed during the screening period, with actual compensation confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
 

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $75,800.00–$113,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
