About the role
Our Associate Legal Counsel will be exposed to a wide range of legal issues in a high-growth and fast-past remote start-up environment. The legal team at PebblePost is a revenue driving function that plays a critical role in closing multi-million dollar deals in concert with our revenue teams.
You will report to the General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer (same person).
You will:
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts primarily consisting of marketing and events agreements, data vendor agreements, consultant agreements, licensing agreements and non-disclosure agreements
- Manage our consumer choice platform, update privacy policy, writing memos on privacy in specific business sectors and assisting the General Counsel in drafting training materials
- Assist with corporate maintenance, including Board meeting preparation, equity grants and other corporate governance matters
- Partner with Finance and People departments to support matters that require legal counsel
- Frequently innovate our internal processes to assist employees ensuring quick delivery of legal service and review compliance
- Interact with our brands in writing and via calls or video meetings to review of terms of service (TOS) and redlining of agreements
- Travel approximately 10 days per year
You have:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to a State bar
- 1+ years of experience within advertising, marketing, technology or privacy-related legal roles
- Drafted and reviewed commercial contracts
- Completed coursework or have direct working experience with consumer privacy
- Experience supporting external clients and internal company leadership (e.g. Partners or C-Suite executives)
- Successfully managed multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines and delivering results
- Developed and implemented strategic initiatives that improved operational efficiency which reduced processing time
- Maintained a high level of professionalism and sound business judgment while working independently, as evidenced by consistently positive feedback from senior leadership and clients
- Improved communication and responsiveness by implementing new tools and processes, resulting in a 25% reduction in response times to client inquiries and enhanced cross-department collaboration.

The salary range is a reasonable estimate based on aggregate data for all US locations. Any offered salary is determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to; candidate location, cost of labor, market data/ranges, internal equity, internal salary ranges, applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology, for example).
Salary range: Low: $130,000 - High: $150,000
