Overview of the Role 

  • Our E-commerce team is growing and we are looking for an Associate Key Account Manager - Ecommerce. If you have a passion for natural brands and their digital shelf, this could be the role for you! 
  • Success in this role looks like: strong oral and written communication, ability to work on projects with competing deadlines, and attention to detail.  You will work with clients to build promotional plans, align strategies, present and maintain item assortment, and build connectivity with key E-commerce accounts  
  • Location: Fully Remote - if local to Chicago, IL will observe a hybrid schedule
  • Salary range $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills. 
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 10% - e.g. industry trade shows, client meetings 

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune 

  • Create and execute account-specific sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company revenue and profit targets.  
  • Meet regularly with existing clients and customers to build productive relationships and understand their evolving business needs and strategies. 
  • Work effectively in managing clients’ business at all customer accounts, including category reviews, item maintenance, promotional support, and content updates.   
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and clients and be available and responsive to their real-time needs.   
  • Work effectively/professionally with company’s internal departments (Client Development Team, Marketing, Insights, Client Services, Business Support Specialists & Accounts Receivable), assuring elite management of our clients and customers businesses.  

What You Should Bring to the Table 

  • Previous account management experience in the CPG industry
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree, and/or similar industry experience  
  • 1-3 years of professional consumer-packaged goods experience (Natural/Specialty/Organic food and/or beverage preferred) or working for or with a food & beverage broker/sales agency 
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills with the ability to analyze data and execute on self-developed strategies  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), and Adobe Acrobat 

You Will Stand Out If You Have 

  • Extensive account management experience in the CPG industry 
  • Prior experience working with Thrive Market, FreshDirect, Vitacost, GoPuff, or DoorDash
