Why This Role Is Valuable  

Under the direction of the Manager – IT Infrastructure, the Network Engineer role is responsible for administration, design, implementation, and security and maintenance of Revantage and other portfolio companies’ enterprise, branch and cloud networks.

How You Add Value

  • Configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of network devices (firewalls, switches and access points).

  • Assist 3rd party installers with onboarding remote networks

  • Design and review branch office network topologies

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for users and IT including rotating 24x7 on-call rotation

  • Zscaler Internet and Private Access support and configuration

  • Maintain and monitor network management platforms

  • Partner with vendors to provide secure network access and troubleshooting

  • Ensure network security by keeping current on patching needs and following best practices for network policies and implementation.

  • Maintain and create documentation of configurations and processes for infrastructure and service desk teams

  • Monitor and optimize network performance and respond to alerts and notifications

  • VoIP cloud platforms configuration and support

  • Partner with IT teams to implement and troubleshoot networking in the cloud and with physical devices

  • Engineering and support for network protocols (DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP)

  • Provide Root cause analysis to production outages as required

  • Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures

  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) meet or exceed established thresholds

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of technology experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience managing network hardware from a diverse vendors

  • Strong communication and user support abilities

  • Understanding of Azure fundamentals and networking

  • Experience understanding and analyzing network capture files using Wireshark

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with Azure and AWS

  • Familiar with IT Infrastructure Security principles and best practices

  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting branch and enterprise networks

  • Experience with monitoring systems

  • A desire to be a part of and help grow a great team and organization.

  • The passion to learn, grow, and help us to improve our business and that of our customers

Preferred:

  • Experience with templatization and automation of network deployments

  • Microsoft Azure training and/or certifications

  • Windows and Mac workstation administration experience
