About the role

Responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs within the Voluntary Benefits Organization. Plays a critical role in driving employee development, enhancing organizational performance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Collaborates with Senior Leaders, Project Managers, peers within the Digital Product team, and HR teams to identify training needs, develop strategies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality learning initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

Training Delivery and Facilitation

  • Creation and delivery of learning programs, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and meet the needs of diverse learners. Demonstrate a solid knowledge of Trustmark’s products, services, and technology platforms. Understand the Facilitate training sessions for both large and small groups, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and deliver specialized training programs.

  • Manage entire life and scope of details involved in running a training course from inception, creation, delivery, follow up, and records management.

  • Maintain the onboarding journey for new associates.

  • Conduct and maintain needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.

  • Monitor participant performance and feedback to assess training quality and outcomes.

  • Utilize quality control measures to enhance training effectiveness and participant engagement.

Learning and Technology Systems

  • Ensure the learning technology infrastructure is user-friendly, efficient, and aligned with the organization's needs.

  • Maximize use of technology within the training space to ensure scalability for the organization.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of employee development.

  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 5+ years’ experience in Knowledge Management or Learning roles.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong Organizational change and Project Management skills.

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.

  • Must be a team player and have the ability to influence team members without direct authority by reaching consensus in order to facilitate moving projects forward.

  • Works independently and requires minimal direction.

  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and recommend solutions in a timely manner.

  • Comfort working with all management levels.

  • Excellent communication skills – in verbal and written formats, including strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead and develop others and work well with strong personalities.

  • Working knowledge/experience of various software applications such as Brainshark, Captivate, Publisher, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • 4+ years insurance industry experience.

  • Organizational Change Management experience.

  • Training development certification.

  • LMS experience.

  • Forward-thinking - embraces technology and creative processes for operational efficiencies.

  • Prior Customer Care, Account Management, or Sales Training experience.

The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):

$79,292.00 - $114,533.00 per year

The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus. We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive salary within the market.
