General Description:
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join BeOne’s global procurement team, supporting a complex global organization. Reporting to Global Corporate Spend, Sr. Director. The Global GTS/IT Lead will be responsible for managing a team and optimizing the spend of approximately $150MM for growth, synergies and efficiencies.
This role is suitable for a hands-on self-starter with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, who can personally deliver as well as coach and guide others in delivery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading global teams, complex global negotiations and strategy creation and have a solid understanding of corporate related procurement (at a Global level).
This role is remote, but we prefer candidates that are near our Cambridge, MA, Hopewell, NJ, or San Carlos CA locations.
The GTS/IT Global Lead, will manage the shaping and deployment of activities such as category management, strategic sourcing, supplier and contract performance management, and business engagement for the GTS/IT business.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Lead negotiations for major spend opportunities supporting GTS/IT
- Optimize the supply base and related costs for all in scope spend, leveraging the full suite of cost management techniques.
- Assist in relationship management with key partners and suppliers, including contract and supplier performance management.
- Develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Develop forward-looking procurement strategies for in scope spend.
- Manage spend for all in scope sub- categories, delivering the optimum balance of value delivery.
This includes implementing and managing the following activities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and systematically manage stakeholder relationships to find the optimal balance between meeting company needs and delivering total value.
- Category Management: Design and implement the appropriate approach to category management, partnering with stakeholders which ensures quality of goods, certainty of supply at the optimal cost to the business.
- Cost Management: Develop and secure cross functional alignment for cost management and manage multi-year category roadmaps and pipelines of sourcing initiative projects.
- Strategic Sourcing: Partner to implement strategic sourcing initiatives to mitigate risk, ensure supply at the required quality standards and in one with the cost ambitions of the business.
- Supplier Management: Leverage a standard framework to classify suppliers and implement SRM programs.
- Risk Management: Evaluate and monitor the risk profile of the supply base, identify mitigation targets, and implement risk improvement initiatives.
- Synergy Delivery: Manage the portfolio of sourcing initiatives and deliver cost reductions against challenging current and multi-year savings/value targets. Develop strong, trusted, analytically driven service delivery relationships.
- Team Development: Ensure the team structure is appropriate and agile in design to support present and future needs, and the team are suitably skilled, empowered, and motivated to deliver on the functions’ commitments.
Education Required: Bachelor’s in Business/Finance, Computer science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of category managers to support the GTS/IT organization.
Computer Skills: Familiar with procurement platforms, spend analytics, market and MS Office as well as SAP
Travel: Domestic and global travel is required for the role.
