As an Associate Director at CrossCountry Consulting you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, leading teams and developing junior team members, and participating in business development activities.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to C-suite executives on data initiatives, understanding client personas (CFO, CIO, CHRO, CAO) and advising on harnessing data to support strategic goals.
  • Advise clients on establishing a technology and data strategy program that democratizes data, leverages modern cloud platforms, promotes data management, uncovers critical control needs, monitors data quality, and more.
  • Enhance clients’ technology stack and serve as Solution Architect to implement, collect, store, transform, process, and analyze data in a single source of truth consistently, efficiently, and without siloes. 
  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Lead end-to-end data solution implementation, including ingestion, storage, transformation, and visualization using tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, Fivetran, Talend, PowerBI, Tableau, and Sigma Computing.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to define technical requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.
  • Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data platforms within the enterprise architecture.
  • Support clients with the design and implementation of forecasting and predictive analytics models.
  • Interview clients to identify root causes of challenges; define and document business requirements.
  • Conduct current state / future state gap analysis for business and data processes.
  • Create executive level communications and presentations
  • Mentor team members by coaching colleagues, providing regular ongoing feedback and annual performance reviews, and helping project teams resolve complex issues.
  • Support business development by building relationships with key internal and external stakeholder
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy and practice-specific programs

What You’ll Bring:

  • Prior experience managing client and/or internal teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience and proficiency advising clients on modernizing their data architecture and using data analytics tools for cleansing and visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall).
  • Understanding of key finance (and other) processes like Lead to Cash / Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Hire to Retire.
  • Experience in supporting Large Enterprise organizations, Private Equity portfolio companies or Private Equity sponsors preferred.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and guiding project teams in resolving complex and multi-faceted issues.
  • Passionate about building, developing, motivating, and leading others.

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of professional experience leading initiatives or client engagements with a focus on data strategy, data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based analytics solutions, dealing with large data sets and interpreting data to draw meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • 5+ years of experience in implementation of Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical teams focused on delivering analytical products and solutions
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake architectures, and real-time data processing
  • Understanding of data security best practices, compliance standards, and access control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Understanding of Python programming language (emphasis on Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib packages)
  • MBA / CPA [preferred].
  • Certification in Snowflake / Alteryx / PowerBI / Tableau [preferred]. 
  • SnowPro Advanced Certification [highly preferred].
  • Willingness to travel based on client preferences.
