Job Description

This position is part of AbbVie's Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team within Business Technology Solutions. The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the organization's IAM strategy, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant access to systems and data. The IAM team supports all verticals including User Lifecycle Management, Privileged Account Management, Directory Services, MFA/Federation/SSO, Access Certifications, Role Based Access Control, External Identity Management, and Application & System Integration. We are here to put our partners in a position to succeed by providing the knowledge, tools, and support they need to effectively use data and technology while managing risk.

The AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients' lives. In the role of Associate Director, Customer Enablement & Innovation, you'll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Understanding the IAM strategy and driving customer education and adoption for key initiatives such as IGA Automation, RBAC, Federation, MFA, and Passwordless
  • Interfacing directly with IAM Leads to understand product roadmaps and capabilities, and providing requirements to enable customer experience and adoption
  • Establishing key stakeholder relationships and governance forums to gather customer requirements, while communicating information and key priorities
  • Championing the IAM roadmap and ensuring alignment with key organizational objectives
  • Developing a persona-based IAM Portal to simplify solutions, offer self-service, document instructions/code samples, and provide support options
  • Serving as single point of contact for IAM initiatives relative to onboarding/usage documentation, metrics, and audit response
  • Defining and implementing a unified end-to-end user experience for all IAM offerings
  • Establishing a mechanism for measuring KPIs/KRIs and implementing continuous controls monitoring with defined operational procedures
  • Ensuring that IAM systems meet regulatory requirements
  • Leading a team covering: Self-Service IAM Portal, Voice of the Customer/User Experience, Adoption Metrics/Continuous Controls Monitoring, RBAC and Dynamic Approvals/Policy Adoption, and Audit Response Coordination

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and 9 years of experience OR Masters Degree and 8 years of experience OR PhD and 4 years of experience
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management or Information Security
  • Proven experience managing and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in product management, including developing product strategies and roadmaps
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including with senior leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to senior audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance principles related to technology and data

Beneficial:

  • Familiarity with IAM concepts such as RBAC, MFA, SSO/Federation, Privileged Access Management, or IGA
  • Experience driving customer engagement and satisfaction through product or platform offerings
  • Strong controls mindset with experience implementing and monitoring effective controls
