Whole Health Solutions and Optum Behavioral Care (OBC) are revolutionizing behavioral health care delivery for individuals, clinicians and the entire health care system, and we are seeking an Associate Director of Account Management to join our team. In this role, you will oversee a national field-based team of Account Executives responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with medical providers to generate patient referrals to OBC.
We're looking for a strategic leader with a proven ability to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will bring:
  • A solid background in account management, business growth, and/or primary/behavioral care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Understanding of provider market trends
  • Experience managing a geographically disperse team

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, retention, and referrals through provider & clinic relationships
  • Oversee Account Executives who serve as outward-facing, dedicated resources for providers/medical clinics
  • In collaboration with Marketing, support our outward-facing marketing and engagement strategies to effectively penetrate assigned territories
  • Set and monitor KPIs, ensuring consistent achievement of goals and supporting team members with improvement strategies when off track
  • Hire, onboard, and mentor regional team members to build a strong, capable field force; Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Create individualized development plans for Account Executives through regular coaching and development sessions, field co-travels and performance reviews
  • Oversee regional budget and resource allocation-ensuring alignment to expectations
  • Serve as senior point of contact for key regional clients and partners, guiding Account Executives in the development and delivery of presentations, implementations and service needs
  • Represent company and business at regional events providing education and awareness on services-such as conferences and other forums

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, client management, or primary/behavioral care
  • 3+ years of management experience, specifically with a geographically disperse team
  • Experience calling on and presenting to medical and behavioral health care leadership
  • Experience managing budgets and fulfilling quotas
  • Proficient use of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of success
  • Ability to travel, up to 20% as needed

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
