About the job:

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Associate Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding, interpreting, manipulating, grouping and correlating our data with the goal of turning our vast amounts of clinical data into meaningful insights for PointClickCare internally and for existing and new customer bases externally. The Associate Data Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming clinical and financial data into actionable insights. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop analytical models, and create data visualizations that support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex data findings effectively.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and understanding PointClickCare's data thoroughly.
  • Developing a full understanding of our customers' challenges and need for data, in addition to our own internal needs.
  • Making recommendations in defining our technical approach and participating in the implementation of a full business analytics platform.
  • Gathering, examining and analyzing large sets of data.
  • Developing segmentation, outcome modeling, experimental design and decision analysis.
  • Developing visualization tools to continually deliver new insights and analytics products to our customers.
  • Analyzing and evaluating model performance definitions, sampling approaches and segmentation alternatives.
  • Translating business needs into data models and AI models
  • Building learning algorithms to analyze data. 

Your Key Strengths:

  • Bachelors Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business, Data Analytics and 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Coursework or practical experience with data mining and building algorithms.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the evaluation of data/data sets work products involving data analysis and research.
  • Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products or equivalent software and the ability to learn corporate software programs.
  • Basic analytical, data mining, data modeling and data management skills, and ability to utilize data to drive strategic business directions.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply quantitative analysis techniques to business situations including forecasting, descriptive statistics, statistical inference, and multivariate modeling techniques.
  • Develop understanding of business processes, goals and strategy in order to provide analysis and interpretation to management.
  • Practical ability to visualize data, communicates effectively about data, and utilizes data effectively.
  • Proficient with a range of business intelligence and visualization tools like and analysis tools SAS, SQL Server Reporting Services, SPSS, R, Microstrategy, PowerBI ,or Tableau.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Statistical programming experience (SAS, R, Python) preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and logical skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and to work well both as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with minimal direction, with the ability to coordinate complex activities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with variety of customers and stakeholders.
