What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Oversee maintenance and reliability engineering for manufacturing equipment and facility systems including building infrastructure.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure high equipment uptime and operational continuity
- Lead and support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), investigations, and CAPA implementation for equipment-related deviations
- Develop and manage maintenance strategies (PM/PdM optimization) and equipment reliability programs
- Contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and drive improvements in OEE and asset utilization
- Provide engineering support for equipment installation, modification, and project execution, including preparation of technical specifications and scope of work
- Support equipment lifecycle management, including commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and decommissioning activities
- Ensure adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and quality standards, including PM and documentation compliance
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation such as SOPs, risk assessments (FMEA/QRA), and maintenance records
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Production, QA, QC, and external vendors for timely execution of engineering activities
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance through proactive safety assessments and adherence to EHS standards
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as:
- Tablet compression machines, Granulation systems, Packaging equipment
Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory expectations
Experience in:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Basic knowledge of automation systems / process controls (preferred)
- Good communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate across functions
Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)
- Experience in TPM / Reliability Engineering Programs
- Exposure to equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / P&ID interpretation
- Experience in fire & life safety systems / EHS compliance
- Exposure to energy optimization and cost improvement initiatives
