About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned commercial attorney and manager to join our legal team. This role will be responsible for supporting licensing and partnership deals for all channels, alliances and strategic partners globally. You will be an individual contributor as well as a hands-on manager who can scale an alliance legal team to meet the company’s rapid growth, while helping the team drive deal closure. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, creativity, and the ability to accelerate business while mitigating risk.
Location: Remote USA; West Coast preferred.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage a team of attorneys, ensuring high performance and alignment with the company's strategic alliances goals.
Bring a player/coach mindset with a willingness to take an active role in negotiating and drafting complex licensing and partnership agreements when necessary.
Provide strategic legal counsel on business initiatives and go-to-market strategies.
Your ability to identify, analyze potential impact and mitigate legal risks while driving business forward will be crucial.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including alliances, operations, finance, and others to develop processes and operational frameworks, establish new partner programs and drive deal closure.
What You’ll Need:
10+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in-house.
Proven experience in negotiating and drafting complex channel and partner agreements, in the SaaS sector.
Demonstrated ability to scale a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong business acumen and the ability to balance legal risks with business goals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with a state bar.
