Job Summary

The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering Kimpton’s signature heartfelt, personalized guest experience. This position supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations while fostering a warm, creative, and empowering environment for both guests and staff. The ideal candidate leads with authenticity, service passion, and a strong sense of hospitality culture.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Brand Standards
  • Champion Kimpton’s “Forgotten Items,” “In-Room Delights,” and personalized guest recognition initiatives
  • Create memorable, unscripted guest interactions that reflect the Kimpton ethos
  • Resolve guest concerns with creativity, empathy, and ownership
  • Oversee VIP arrivals, special celebrations, and repeat guest recognition
  • Ensure consistent delivery of Kimpton and IHG brand standards
Front Office Operations
  • Assist with daily front desk operations including check-in, check-out, room assignments, and reservations
  • Support cash handling, billing accuracy, night audit coordination, and reporting
  • Ensure proper use of Opera PMS and other IHG systems
  • Act as Manager-on-Duty when needed
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Help recruit, train, and develop front office team members
  • Coach staff to deliver authentic service rather than scripted interactions
  • Support scheduling, payroll review, and performance feedback
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture
  • Lead by example with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm
Collaboration & Compliance
  • Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Restaurant teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Ensure compliance with IHG policies, safety standards, and local regulations
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and operations meetings
QualificationsExperience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 2–4 years of hospitality front office experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Kimpton or lifestyle brands is a plus

The salary range for this role is $23.19 to $26.96.
