POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant Director, Program Management is responsible for the overall project. Assistant Director is also responsible for day to day management of the PMO team as well producing summary of project performance, progress, cost, schedule, potential risk and problem so that corrective action can be taken by relevant project stakeholders before its impact final project outcome.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capacity planning – resource allocation to achieve maximum output
  • Define the PMO strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects
  • Lead the execution of a PMO governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of all organizational project activity.
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
  • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, training and support to enhance program management capability, and improve collaborative development and project results.

Stakeholder satisfaction and long-term PMO strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of managing mid to large scale IT projects. 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2) certification
  • Practitioner with PMI’s PMP certification will have added advantage.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills and understand how projects and programs can contribute to meeting strategic goals.
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills and be able to interact with people at all levels
  • Familiar with latest technology and trends
  • Posses strong commitment and able to work under pressure in a result-driven environment.
  • Good business judgement
