Our challenge

We are looking for a skilled and motivated SAP Ariba Subject Matter Expert (SME), The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Ariba solutions, procurement processes, and supply chain management. The SME will be responsible for providing expertise in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Ariba systems to drive business value.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in SAP Ariba: Serve as the subject matter expert on SAP Ariba modules, including Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Management, and Invoice Management.

  • Implementation & Configuration: Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Ariba solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize procurement and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness using SAP Ariba.

  • Training & Support: Develop and deliver training sessions to end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of SAP Ariba systems.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, IT, and external stakeholders, to understand business needs and deliver appropriate solutions.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to SAP Ariba configurations, workflows, and best practices.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to SAP Ariba functionalities and integrations in a timely manner.

  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in SAP Ariba and procurement technologies, recommending improvements to existing processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience Level: 5 - 7 years of experience in SAP Ariba implementation and management.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of SAP Ariba modules and functionalities; experience with integrations between SAP Ariba and other ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).

  • Procurement Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management best practices.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.

  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) is preferred.
