Position Objective

The position will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical sales & engineering support to ensure that Circor Industrial Valves achieves profitable revenue growth, market share increase, component/solution selling competencies, and a sustainable leadership position in the industry. The Technical Applications Engineer is responsible for supporting and working with customers which include distributors, agents, and end user accounts.  Will be part of a team providing engineered solutions to the market.

The incumbent will respond to customer inquiries and identify equipment solutions & configurations to meet customer requirements.  Also, ensure the correct and proper sizing of equipment is specified in the best interests of the customer and of CIRCOR solutions while coordinating with internal engineering teams when needed.

As the Technical Application Engineer, you will report directly to the Director Sales - America’s and will be responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned product line targets for profitable sales volume and strategic goals in the assigned territory.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer applications thoroughly to recommend appropriate CIRCOR products.
  • Prepare estimates and formal quotations for standard and non-standard products, ensuring profitability and adherence to delivery expectations.
  • Perform sizing and selection of ARVs, control valves and other pressure-related products.
  • Provides application engineering support to customers, the “go to” engineering & technical resource for channel partners and/or end user customers
  • Maintain required documentation including quotations, logs, and proposal records.
  • Support Sales and Product Management teams by providing technical insights and recommendations.
  • Provide technical product training to channel partners and/or select channel partner’s customers
  • Engage directly with internal teams, external customers, distributors, and sales representatives.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technology related field to the valves industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years Control Valve Sizing & application experience, strong knowledge of international standards and specifications related to control valves.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with reputed valve manufacturers, with strong application engineering exposure for power plant applications.
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Conducts business in a responsible and ethical manner.
  • Experience with different software tools (MS Office, Web-based software, ProAlpha)
