We currently have a need for a MQ Messaging Engineer supporting a Global Network Infrastructure environment. Global Financial Services and or banking experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and executing on the messaging migration strategy.
  • Administration of MQ zOS with queue sharing groups, clusters, pub-sub and channel auths.
  • Engaging with development, infrastructure, security and IT operations team for messaging migration.
  • Perform incident, problem and change management covering all supported systems. 

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field desired
  • 10 years of experience with Messaging experience, preferably in the banking industry
  • Experience working with messaging middleware (e.g., IBM MQ, Tibco EMS)
  • MQ administration experience with zOS and specifically with concepts like queue sharing groups, clusters, pub-sub and channel auths.
  • Experience in managing TLS certificates in either zOS or distributed MQ environment
  • Experience with change and incident management
  • Experience in application development that demonstrates thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to multitask and deliver quality work under pressure without being micromanaged.

Physical Demands:

 

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
  • Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
