The North American Open Data Platform team is looking for an Annotation Manager to lead the development and governance of annotated datasets that power LLMs, AI enrichment pipelines, and data science projects across Experian's consumer financial services. You will combine product ownership with operational execution, ensuring data labeling practices meet regulatory standards while supporting the accuracy, fairness, and performance of enrichment services. The Annotation Manager / Product Owner will report to the Lead Product Manager of Open Data Platform Enrichments.

You'll have opportunity to:

• Product Ownership: Lead agile scrum teams, define sprint goals, manage backlogs, and ensure deliverables align with business and regulatory needs.
• Annotation Strategy & Data Quality: Develop financial data annotation guidelines, train teams, manage annotation backlogs, and conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Regulatory Compliance: Align annotation practices with legal standards, collaborate with compliance teams, and audit outputs for bias and non-compliance.
• Operational Efficiency & Vendor Management: Improve workflows, monitor performance metrics, and manage onboarding/offboarding of annotation resources and third-party vendors.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with partners to gather requirements, resolve challenges, and ensure seamless integration.
• Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide training on tools, workflows, and regulatory updates.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within financial services.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models, Named Entity Recognition (NER), AI/ML data pipelines, and financial data mapping.
• Experience with data annotation tools, especially in financial contexts.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and transformation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
