Job Description

Role: Android Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Fulltime
BGV will be done for the selected candidates.
Primary Skills
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Experience with web service
Key Responsibilities
• Defining the overall technical architecture for the mobile application that is being envisioned with the customer.
• Defining the technical requirements for the implementation of the mobile solution.
• Discussing with the customer technical aspects of the mobile application solution architecture, including the technology used, methodology followed, and devices selected.
• Preparing technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer.
• Representing the customer’s technical solution requirements
• Represent the technical team in front of prospects/ customers towards acquiring new business
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (advanced degree a plus), have significant technical experience in previous mobile projects and possess a proven track record for leading or supporting technical sales activities. Key expectations include:
• 8+ years of experience overall.
• 4+ years of experience working with all the Android Mobile platforms.
• 4+ years of experience of providing architecture solutions to Android Mobile Applications.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Mobile Application development.
• Experience in Agile Project Methodologies.
