As a Data Engineer on our Data Team, you’ll be at the heart of transforming raw data into powerful insights that drive smarter product decisions. Working alongside product managers, data scientists, subject matter experts, and functional leads, you’ll build and fine-tune data pipelines, ensuring our data is always accurate, accessible, and actionable. Your insights into product usage and performance will fuel Machinify’s innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Data Analysis: Dive deep into data to reveal insights on product performance, customer behavior, claims patterns, and key financial metrics.

  • Analytics Engineering: Develop and refine data models, transformations, and visualizations that fuel decision-making across teams.

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines using Airflow to keep our data flowing seamlessly.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, data scientists, SMEs, and function to understand data needs, deliver insights, and support product innovation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data analysis, with a strong focus on building data pipelines and deriving insights.

  • SQL Mastery: Advanced SQL skills for complex queries and performance optimization on large datasets.

  • ELT/ETL & Orchestration: Experience with tools like Airflow to streamline data workflows.

  • Data Modeling: A solid foundation in data modeling principles to design and optimize models for robust analytics.

  • Problem Solving: A knack for troubleshooting data issues and optimizing data processes.

  • Attention to Detail: A commitment to data accuracy and integrity in every output.

  • Communication: Strong ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Python, AWS, and SparkSQL

  • Familiarity with Medical Healthcare claims data models

The base salary for this position will vary based on an array of factors unique to each candidate such as qualifications, years and depth of experience, skill set, certifications, etc. The base salary range for this role is 200-225k. We are hiring for different seniorities, and our Recruiting team will let you know if you qualify for a different role/range. Salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes meaningful equity, excellent healthcare, flexible time off, and other benefits and perks.
