    We’re seeking someone to join our Legal & Compliance team as an Analyst to work as part of the Data Governance team with a focus on data governance and data quality management. This role will function as a PMO analyst supporting data governance committees, regulatory engagement, and execution tracking across firmwide data governance and data quality initiatives.

    In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. The Data Governance Analyst supports the implementation of data governance policies and procedures, focusing on data quality, compliance, and operational excellence. This role collaborates with business and technology teams to ensure data assets are accurate, secure, and fit for purpose.

    What you’ll do in the role:

    - Develop and implement data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.

    - Support planning, execution, and follow‑through for data governance committees, including agenda development, materials and deck creation, action tracking, and executive readouts

    - Provide PMO support for regulatory engagements and related governance initiatives by tracking requests, deliverables, dependencies, and remediation commitments

    - Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop metrics and dashboards for data quality.

    - Participate in training sessions and workshops on data governance practices.

    What you’ll bring to the role:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.

    - Foundational understanding of data quality concepts (e.g., data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and controls) and how they are applied within a governance or regulatory context

    - Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills

    Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
