Shape the future of trust in the age of AI
At Oscilar, we're building the most advanced AI Risk Decisioning™ Platform. Banks, fintechs, and digitally native organizations rely on us to manage their fraud, credit, and compliance risk with the power of AI. If you're passionate about solving complex problems and making the internet safer for everyone, this is your place.

Why join us:
  • Mission-driven teams: Work alongside industry veterans from Meta, Uber, Citi, and Confluent, all united by a shared goal to make the digital world safer.

  • Ownership and impact: We believe in extreme ownership. You'll be empowered to take responsibility, move fast, and make decisions that drive our mission forward.

  • Innovate at the cutting edge: Your work will shape how modern finance detects fraud and manages risk.

The AML expert in every room

Most people representing AML technology to customers haven't worked a case queue in years. The practitioners who have - the analysts and managers who've triaged alerts at 4pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend, filed SARs under deadline, and argued with a BSA officer about whether something warranted a filing - are rare. They're also the only people your future customers actually listen to.

That's the seat. You'll be the practitioner voice in every room: sales calls where a fraud analyst or BSA officer wants to know if we understand their workflow, agent deployments where an AML agent has to be calibrated against real typologies, and customer calls where someone needs a peer who has worked their kind of institution - not just a large bank.

This is an AML role to its core - advisory, strategy, customer operations, and customer advisory - for someone who lives and breathes financial crime. You'll build the playbook, not inherit one.

What you'll do:
  • On sales calls, you're the domain credibility. When a compliance officer at a fintech, a bank, or a Canadian credit union asks whether we understand their SAR/STR process, your answer comes from having done it. You'll work alongside our AEs and solutions engineers to drive adoption.

  • On AI Agent and deployment work, you define what "good" looks like for AML agent behavior. When an agent generates a SAR narrative or triages an alert, you're the person who knows whether that decision holds up in a real investigation — and can articulate why, to both the product team and the customer.

  • On customer calls, you're the practitioner peer when existing customers push Oscilar's AML capabilities into new use cases - implementation calls, QBRs, technical deep dives where AML judgment is the constraint.

  • On the product, you feed the roadmap from the bottom: what breaks in a 300-alert queue, where the auto-narrative doesn't match how a real analyst would write it, which typologies our detection misses for the populations you've worked. What you hear in the field this week shapes what ships next week.

What we're looking for:
  • You've spent most of your career in AML. Analyst, senior analyst, investigator, TM analyst, case manager, or AML manager. You've worked a case queue. You've fought with a transaction monitoring system that wouldn't let you close an alert the way you wanted to. You've personally written or meaningfully reviewed SARs (or STRs in Canada/UK), and you know what makes one defensible to an examiner. This is as much an advisory and strategy role as an operational one - you'll be the AML mind customers lean on - so program, policy, and advisory depth on top of that operational core is exactly what we want.

  • You've done this at more than one kind of institution. If your entire background is a single large bank, this isn't the right fit. We need someone who can walk into a call with a neobank in Canada, a mid-market payment company in the UK, and a community bank in Ohio - and credibly speak to what AML operations actually looks like in each. Different problems, different regulators, different tools. You know this firsthand, not from reading about it.

  • You've worked with technology, not just around it. You have an opinion on AI-assisted case management because you've used it or watched it be used. You understand explainability as a compliance concept - what an analyst needs when a supervisor asks "why did you close this alert" - not just a technical one. You're not threatened by automation; you're the person who can tell engineering why the first version of the SAR-narrative agent is wrong in ways that matter to a regulator.

Strong positives:

  • CAMS certification

  • Canada (FINTRAC / PCMLTFA) or UK/EU (FCA, JMLSG, AMLD) hands-on experience — we're growing fast in both markets

  • Fintech, neobank, or crypto AML experience — building programs with fewer resources and different customer populations than a legacy bank

  • Having used or evaluated tools like Actimize, Feedzai, Unit21, ComplyAdvantage, or Hawk AI, with a real comparative opinion

  • Having trained or managed junior analysts

The team you'll work with:

Oscilar's team spans two pedigrees: engineers who've built risk infrastructure at some of the most technically demanding companies in the world, and practitioners who've worked financial crime, fraud, and compliance at leading banks, fintechs, and payments networks across the US, UK, EU, and beyond.

You'll work day-to-day with Product, Customer Success, and Sales, and alongside the AML architecture and AI team. Calibrating and defending our AI agents in the field is part of the job - but it's not the whole job. You help drive AML across the company: the advisory and strategy our customers lean on, the operational judgment that keeps deployments honest, and the field signal that shapes the roadmap.

What success looks like in 90 days:
  • You've been on 50+ customer and sales calls, and GTM teams are pulling you in proactively - not being asked to.

  • You've identified and driven change on at least 3 specific AML product gaps the team didn't already know about.

  • The team treats you as the AML peer they didn't have before - someone they can hand a customer to without briefing you on what AML is.

  • You've spoken credibly to multiple distinct institution types - say, a Canadian bank, a payment company, and a fintech - in the same week.

Benefits
  • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401k plan

  • Flexibility: Remote-first culture — work from anywhere

  • Health: 100% Employer covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with a top tier plan for you and your dependents (US)

  • Balance: Unlimited PTO policy

  • Technical: AI First company; both Co-Founders are engineers at heart; and over 50% of the company is Engineering and Product

  • Culture: Family-Friendly environment; Regular team events and offsites

  • Development: Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities

  • Impact: Making the internet safer by protecting online transactions
