About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Alternative Investments Senior Manager to serve as a senior executive leader within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). This role is responsible for managing a team of Product Managers and has responsibility for the overall strategy, direction, and execution of the Alternative Investments business including business ownership for all new alternative investment offerings. Areas of product responsibility include private equity, private debt, private real estate, hedge funds and exchange funds. The Alternative Investments Senior Manager provides leadership across product strategy, fund launch execution, platform governance, and investment manager relationships to ensure the platform delivers scalable, well-governed solutions aligned with firm priorities.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of Product Managers focused on the expansion and ongoing maintenance of the Alternative Investments Platform
  • Serve as the senior executive leader responsible for the Alternative Investments business across all asset classes and structures
  • Own business accountability for all new alternative investment offerings, including prioritization, approval, launch, and ongoing oversight
  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the alternative investments platform, including growth initiatives and platform enhancements
  • Own and oversee the end-to-end fund launch process, ensuring disciplined execution across product strategy, onboarding, approvals, and readiness for distribution
  • Provide leadership and oversight across alternative investment product development, lifecycle management, and platform operations
  • Serve as the final escalation point for material business, regulatory, and risk-related decisions impacting alternative investment offerings
  • Oversee and strengthen senior-level relationships with external investment managers, third-party vendors, and strategic partners
  • Serve as Alternative Investments subject matter expert to Wells Fargo investment professionals and other internal partners
  • Ensure strong governance, risk management, and regulatory alignment across the alternative investments platform
  • Partner closely with senior leaders across WIM including research, distribution, legal, compliance, risk, operations, marketing, and consulting to deliver successful product launches and platform outcomes
  • Represent the Alternative Investments business in executive forums, leadership discussions, and cross-business initiatives
  • Drive leadership effectiveness, organizational scalability, and a culture of accountability and disciplined execution

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a platform of alternative investment funds
  • Deep expertise across alternative investment asset classes, structures, and distribution models
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex product platforms and fund launches within a regulated financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk controls, and governance for alternative investments and alternative investments platforms
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership and external partners on strategic initiatives
  • Strong leadership, communication, and executive presence
  • Ability to negotiate agreements or contracts
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations including charts and graphs for investment clients
