About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Program Manager to sit within the Alternative Investments Financing ("AIF") Custom Lending team. The AIF Custom Lending team is working to underwrite Alternative Asset Management Company Co-Investment Lending Programs. These are loans via a "program" provided to a group of partners & employees that work at alternative asset management companies. The loan terms and documents are set for the program, and then the individuals who work at the firm can apply for loans. The loans are used to finance a portion of the individual's committed capital calls into the firm's funds.

In this role, you will:
- Act as a liaison during the underwriting process to coordinate when appropriate between the AIF Senior UW, Custom Credit Banker, and Borrower UW's. This position may handle one-off credit questions from participating borrowers once fully-trained.
- Act as the primary Credit contact to handle closing issues (ex: last minute systems corrections, etc.)
- Audit partner co-invest loans post-closing to ensure adherence to all P&P requirements, including covenants, servicing tasks, etc.
- Coordinate with Collateral Monitoring Team to set up the relationships in the systems.
- Primary point of contact for monitoring borrowing bases, capital calls, distributions. This person would also work with offshore staff to audit the borrowing bases and compare NAV's to the partner capital statements.
- Assist with Annual Reviews of partner capital loan programs (fund level) when appropriate.
- Management of inflow of information (i.e. fund and individual borrower information) for programs. Organization of information in systems.
- Ongoing program management, amendments, increases, changes, etc.
- Work with LSG bankers on COR submission troubleshooting/questions. i.e. ensuring loan structure is correct for entity/trust borrowers
- Communicate up to date credit policy and process changes that would impact the credit origination and booking process
- Conduct training sessions with Bankers/BCs on eSign enhancements
- Create COR submission guides, booking guides, loan servicing guides as needed
- Complete the review of capital calls and provide LSG with funding instructions and capital call spreadsheet so that team can process the advances (which includes submitting TMT for LOC advance portion and TMT for "unfinanced" portion from DDA)
- 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in Wealth Management or Private Banking Custom Lending
- Understanding of the lending process, credit policy, loan documentation, and loan servicing
- Highly organized
- Ability to multi-task
- Client service driven
- High sense of urgency, timeliness
- Attention to detail
- Ability to cross-reference & cross check through multiple interfaces/documents
- Team player, works well both internally & eternally with all partners to deliver best in class lending solutions to asset manager partner/ employee client base
