As an AI Product Manager, you'll lead the development of AI-driven features, collaborate with teams, and ensure practical, scalable solutions while maintaining quality and compliance.

The Company:
Marigold is a fast-growing marketing technology company helping growing businesses build stronger customer relationships through its three core platforms: Emma, Campaign Monitor, and Vuture. We deliver powerful tools for email, SMS, and marketing automation that elevate engagement and drive real results. Marigold is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices in Sydney and London.

The Role:
Marigold is building the next generation of intelligent marketing capabilities, and we’re looking for an AI Product Manager who can translate strategy into well-designed, production-ready AI features. In this role, you’ll partner closely with AI Engineering and Data Science to build AI systems end to end, while owning the product direction, decisions, and outcomes that bring the CPO’s broader AI vision to life.

You’ll apply a strong understanding of how AI systems operate in real-world environments to make informed product decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and ensure solutions are practical, reliable, scalable, and responsible. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment, requiring comfort with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and decisive execution—without compromising quality or safety.

If you understand how AI systems behave and bring the judgment to guide how they should behave for customers, this role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful, impactful AI-driven products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate the CPO’s AI vision into clear product requirements, milestones, and user experiences, making day-to-day product and design decisions that keep teams aligned, unblocked, and moving quickly.

  • Partner closely with AI Engineering, Data Science, and Design in an embedded development model, developing working fluency in Marigold’s ML systems, LLMs, pipelines, evaluation frameworks, routing logic, and retrieval workflows to guide effective tradeoffs.

  • Define quality standards for AI features—including accuracy, reliability, consistency, predictability, and user trust—and collaborate on evaluation strategies, post-launch monitoring, and risk mitigation such as guardrails and fallback paths.

  • Lead the design of grounded, trustworthy AI experiences by supporting retrieval-based workflows, traceability, versioning, and oversight mechanisms that keep AI behavior aligned with source-of-truth data.

  • Ensure AI products are scalable, resilient, and cost-aware by understanding model economics, inference patterns, latency, throughput, and architectural dependencies.

  • Act as a central AI resource within Marigold, partnering with Product, UX, Legal, Security, and Privacy teams to promote responsible design, regulatory compliance (including EU AI Act and HIPAA), and consistent AI adoption across the platform.

About You:

You’re excited by the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and play a hands-on role in shaping foundational AI capabilities. You thrive in deeply collaborative environments, partnering day to day with expert AI engineers to bring complex systems to life. You’re motivated by building AI products from the ground up—taking ideas from early concepts through scaled, production-ready solutions that are grounded, reliable, transparent, and genuinely useful. Most of all, you’re energized by the chance to influence how AI becomes a core, trusted part of a platform experience and to help define what responsible, high-impact AI looks like for marketers.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of Product Management experience, ideally including 3+ years building and shipping AI/ML-powered features; experience with 0→1 product development is a strong plus.

  • Strong understanding of ML and LLM concepts, including how models are trained, evaluated, grounded, and orchestrated in real-world production environments.

  • Proven ability to partner deeply with engineers and data scientists—speaking their language, contributing to technical discussions, and guiding decisions without prescribing solutions.

  • Experience making thoughtful product tradeoffs across quality, reliability, cost, latency, and user experience in complex systems.

  • Clear, structured communicator with the ability to translate complex technical behaviors into simple, customer-focused product experiences.

  • Comfortable operating autonomously in ambiguous problem spaces and translating strategic direction from the CPO into day-to-day product decisions, documentation, and execution; experience in MarTech is a plus.

This position is eligible for hire in the following US states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Generous time off (we call it Open Time Away) as well as paid holidays and a birthday benefit day off.
