The FinQuery AI team builds the AI and machine learning services that power features across FinQuery’s suite of software products.

In this role you will have the opportunity to gain experience with the latest AI technologies to generate actual value for real users, work remotely (from the US with one to two trips to HQ in Atlanta each year), build both prototypes and work on mature production AI/ML systems, and learn from and share knowledge with great co-workers.

You will develop, maintain, and improve a range of production AI/ML services that provide value to real users, using the best and most appropriate technologies from the rapidly evolving AI landscape. You will work closely with other AI engineers, software developers, systems engineers, product managers, and the UX team, among others, to help create AI-driven product features. This is an individual contributor role.

We value experience, but even more important to us is the willingness and ability to continuously learn, as AI/ML is constantly evolving. We are looking for great teammates, who are nice people and happen to be extremely good at what they do.

What you will be doing:

  • Using the latest AI technologies to power specific features in our products
  • Evaluating, experimenting, and iterating on LLM prompts, agent workflows, and traditional ML models
  • Monitoring and maintaining production models
  • Working with Product and other Engineering teams to integrate our AI/ML features and services into our customer-facing products
  • Providing tactical and strategic input on technical matters related to production AI/ML
  • Learning new AI/ML techniques and best practices, and subject matter related to FinQuery's business
  • Working on a small, focused, awesome team to deliver outsized value to our customers using the latest AI/ML technologies

What experience and skills we need you to have:

  • Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, such as model evaluation
  • Experience working with production AI/ML models
  • Experience creating LLM-powered services and features
  • Ability to write and maintain high quality code (Python) that is used by others
  • Ability and desire to learn and implement new techniques, topics, and technologies
  • 2+ years of experience working in the software industry

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the end-to-end AI/ML process (ideation, creation, deployment, and maintenance of models) at scale
  • Experience with multiple LLM models, tools, and best practices, including emerging agent paradigms
  • Experience with document processing using LLMs
  • Experience using AI-powered software development and the ability to separate the value from the hype
  • Experience mentoring teammates
  • Experience with the AWS AI/ML/LLM stack
  • Experience with uv to manage Python projects

Benefits:

  • Flexible PTO (including 11 holidays and your birthday off)
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching
  • Great health benefits with multiple plan option
  • Option to choose between in office, fully remote, or a hybrid work environment for all employees
  • Sabbatical program (4 weeks after 5 years of service)
  • Casual dress environment (when in office)
  • Catered lunches every Tuesday and Thursday
  • Signing stipend for a work-from-home setup
  • Free gym membership at our office
  • Annual employee development program stipend of $2,000 for each employee
  • Parental Leave Benefits
  • Fertility/Adoption Assistance
  • Annual tutoring stipend for your children
  • Mentorship program available immediately
  • Regular team outings
  • Advancement opportunities based on results, not politics
  • Culture that emphasizes inclusiveness driven by our REDI Committee
