Freese and Nichols is seeking an AI Business Analyst. Though our preference is to have someone in our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, we are open to considering people in any of our locations. The AI Business Analyst will serve as a critical link between the process owner and the Business Technology development team, facilitating AI-driven solutions to complex business challenges. This role will work closely with stakeholders across multiple disciplines, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and support the implementation of intelligent solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decision-making.

Business Analyst Duties:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clearly define and document project objectives, business requirements, use cases, and expected outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather business requirements and feedback.
  • Develop comprehensive requirements documentation, including detailed workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the development life cycle.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of tools and platforms based on business needs.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics of implemented solutions to measure effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support the creation of training and communication materials for end-users.

AI Duties:

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in artificial intelligence.
  • Reporting interesting ideas for additional resource consideration.
  • Communicate AI concepts, project progress, and technical information effectively.
  • May facilitate the AI Innovators Hub and track their efforts, coordinate to avoid duplication, promote best practices, ensure security, facilitate sharing, promote teamwork, support initiatives, communicate successes, and promote innovation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for a bachelors degree.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with proven experience translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Actively uses AI in professional or personal projects, staying up to date with trends, tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot), and emerging capabilities relevant to business workflows and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
