Job Overview:

The IFS Advice Manager is responsible for overseeing day to day activities of a team of licensed financial advisors affiliated with the Bank and Credit union segment of our LPL Investor Focused Solutions platform. This individual will work to help our advisors support our 10,000+ investors in our phone-based advice model through relationship deepening, financial planning and investment solutioning. This role will also partner closely with the bank and credit union executives that utilize the LPL platform for investment services. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and reporting on topics surrounding sales performance, talent management, operational excellence, and client management. Most importantly, this individual will provide regular coaching and business practice management help our advisors be successful in their careers. 

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the financial services industry, brokerage operations, along with proven success with operating in a dynamic fast-paced environment.  Outstanding customer service and effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management: Create a culture of growth, ensuring that relationship deepening is being properly executed and that business objectives are being met. Conduct regular one on ones with advisors to discuss career development, goal setting, and setting appropriate expectations. This also includes recruiting efforts to bring in additional talent as necessary to support business goals.

  • Sales Performance: Conduct coaching sessions and trainings not only to help advisors expand their knowledge and meet their sales goals. Drive engagement by promoting a healthy and positive competitive culture.

  • Business Management: Review advisor productivity, SLA, and progress towards the business’s goals. Create reports surrounding current and past sales trends and report up.

  • Workforce Management: Supervise the investment and relationship deepening process, and ensure coordination and adherence to policies and procedures. Manage all time off requests to confirm that we have appropriate staffing levels at all times to support SLA.

  • Client Management: Facilitate the delivery of best-in-class client experiences for our investors, bank and credit union leaders, and key stakeholder. Assist our advisors in delivering exceptional experiences and resolving issues. Conduct quarterly performance reporting meetings with bank and credit union leadership. Collect and implement feedback, influence stronger partnership, and assist in business practice management activities.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years industry experience and deep knowledge in financial services or financial advising – ideally experience working with banks and credit unions

  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 required

  • FINRA Series 9/10 is a plus, expected to obtain within first 6 months of hire

  • 3+ years of investment and advisory experience

Core Competencies:

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to interact with and influence Senior Management-level bank partners.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of wealth management concepts, tools & best practices; to include fee-based asset management platforms, financial planning platforms, insurance solutions and an understanding of the competitive environment.

  • Work with key partners to identify, develop and execute initiatives that improve advisor productivity, enhance the end investor experience, and accelerate new client acquisition

  • Critical and strategic thinking skills, as well as being a self-motivated team player are essential

  • Ongoing examination of team trends to develop insights and expedient tactics to drive solutions to best support advisors, clients and the Program.

  • Institute and maintain rigorous coaching and development routines to evolve the technical skill-set and consulting acumen of this team. 

  • A desire to lead, a passion for consultative sales management, and a deep commitment to client service

Preferences:

  • Previous management experience

  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of success in sales, sales leadership or general leadership skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fluid, fast paced, environment with frequently changing priorities, processes, requirements, etc.

Pay Range:

$100,700.00-$167,800.00/year
 
The pay salary range is inclusive of base salary and potential sales incentive compensation based upon the applicable incentive compensation plan for this position. Base salary is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Incentive compensation is dependent on achievement of goals set forth in the incentive compensation plan.
