SUMMARY

The Actuarial Analyst is a vital, value-added asset for Arrowhead Intermediaries.  They provide actionable data insights & rate strategies and collaborate with program leaders in making key strategic decisions in multiple business units across the organization.  By taking a proactive approach and delivering timely recommendations, the Analyst helps each program advocate for profitable growth on its own terms.

The Analyst will analyze program performance and trends; analyze market performance and trends; price programs that marketable and profitable; establish adequate loss reserves; produce reports that affect company balance sheet; keep products statistically sound with regulatory approval.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following:

  • Prepare & analyze all program data available.
  • Analyze available market data.
  • Perform Loss Reserve, Loss Trend, and Premium Trend Analyses
  • Prepare rate level indications
  • Select appropriate rate level for all programs
  • Annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting: price level indications; incurred and paid loss development
  • Product development and market level surveys.
  • Other duties as assigned

CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

  • Completion of at least three CAS/SOA Exams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, capable of effectively responding to changing needs
  • Microsoft Excel advanced user
  • R-Studio and SQL is a plus
  • 2+ years of relevant actuarial experience; emphasis on ratemaking experience preferred

Pay Range

$100,000 - $120,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
