Job Summary

KBR is seeking a dynamic Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to augment our team in Washington, DC, supporting groundbreaking initiatives for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WL). As a key player in several large-scale aircraft programs, you will lead critical acquisition studies that shape the future of USAF weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical analysis integration of such aspects of program management as engineering, procurement, financial management, environmental management, configuration
  • Ensure program requirements and statements of work capture and are planned to the level of detail required for execution.
  • Develop requirements, Milestone documentation, and provide technical writing expertise for deliverables
  • Participate in an advisory role to conduct analysis, draft, and deliver source selection evaluation inputs
  • Person within Headquarters (HQ), U.S. Air Force, office of primary responsibility who is directly responsible for a given program and all documentation needed to harmonize the program in the budget.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure project information integrates into existing program strategy
  • Employ integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across numerous functional disciplines
  • Perform a range of program management activities such as gathering a variety of program information; conducting analyses; developing program strategies; milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling; establishing and maintaining databases
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations, shaping acquisition strategies for multiple program offices and senior staff
  • Develop comprehensive program documentation to support milestone decisions and acquisition strategies
  • Extensive experience in USAF weapon system management
  • Proven history in ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations and tailor milestone requirements
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility team environment

Work Environment:

  • Location: Washington DC region with frequent visits to Pentagon
  • Travel Requirements: 20%, primarily to Dayton, OH
  • Working Hours: Standard 40hrs/wk.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree and 25 years of experience in DoD/Air Force Acquisition.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience as an ACAT I/II/III PM within the last 10 years.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC Policies, Processes, and Procedures.

Basic Compensation:

$139,000 to $191,000

This range is for the National Average

$160,000 to $220,000

This range is for the Washington DC area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
