The role:

SoFi is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team and report to one of our Senior Revenue Managers.

Join Our Mission: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be a vital part of SoFi's receivables and collection team, collaborating with multiple dynamic teams and contributing to the daily, weekly, and monthly operations of accounts receivables.  

What you’ll do:

  • Drive accurate and timely invoicing on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounts receivable aging reports and collaborate with business partners on outstanding balances
  • Monitoring payments receipts, ensuring payments are applied correctly, and addressing any discrepancies
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process such as preparing journal entries
  • Handle customer set up and any billing or payment inquiries 
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners in Finance, Operations, and Business Systems to optimize invoicing and collection processes
  • Assist in ad-hoc analyses and projects for Accounts Receivable KPIs, providing the accounting team and other key stakeholders with valuable insights

What you’ll need:

  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
  • 2-3+ years of professional experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting/bookkeeping experiences
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze data sets 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with WorkDay or other large financial systems 
  • Experience in managing process improvement 
  • Associates degree or equivalent
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
