Job Summary:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist at Centrus Energy, you’ll help keep our financial operations moving by ensuring vendors are paid correctly and on time. Supporting a publicly traded company in a highly regulated industry, you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency. What You Will Do:
You’ll process vendor invoices through Oracle Fusion, ensuring proper coding, purchase order matching, and approvals in alignment with company delegation of authority policies. You’ll support timely and accurate payments, assist with month-end close activities for accounts payable, reconcile vendor statements, assist with preparation of annual 1099 forms, research and resolve discrepancies, and respond to supplier inquiries with professionalism and urgency, support continuous process improvements within accounts payable function The role includes maintaining documentation in accordance with internal controls and SOX requirements, supporting audit requests, participating in process improvement initiatives, and helping ensure accounts payable operations remain compliant, efficient, and audit-ready.
We’d Love to Hear From People With:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting support
- Experience working with financial or reporting systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A Successful Candidate Brings:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or similar ERP systems
- Experience with SAP Concur or other expense management platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience working in a publicly traded company environment
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $74,000. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.
