About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Revenue Accounting Manager to join our fast-growing Web3 infrastructure company. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is pivotal in developing accounting best practices, streamlining processes, and ensuring sound revenue management. You will work across the business to ensure smooth operations, particularly focusing on blockchain protocol and developer revenue streams.

What You'll Do
  • Revenue Recognition & Analysis: Perform detailed analysis and reporting of revenue, deferred revenue, and contra-revenues in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable standards.
  • Revenue Process Optimization: Design and implement efficient, automated processes for revenue recognition and financial reporting. Continuously improve revenue-related processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Revenue Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for management and stakeholders. Explain revenue trends, variances, and key metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Accounting & Policy Development: Research and apply technical accounting standards to complex revenue transactions and ensure compliance with ASC 606. Develop and update accounting policies and procedures related to revenue recognition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and to support strategic initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions based on revenue data.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with demonstrated experience in ASC 606, 820, and some familiarity with other technical accounting pronouncements such as ASC 350-60.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in SaaS and/or Web3, specifically with blockchain protocol and developer revenue streams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to distill complex financial information, perform detailed analysis, and develop revenue forecasting models.
  • Process Improvement: Proven experience in developing and managing internal controls and optimizing financial processes.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Resourceful, agile self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
