We are seeking an Accounting Manager, International to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Accounting Manager, International's position is responsible for overseeing Imprivata's international accounting functions. The day-to-day functions include general ledger, journal entries, month-end close reconciliations, accounts payable, travel and local taxes. In addition, this role supports the Corporate Controller with the year-end audits and the preparation of the Company's tax returns. Projects such as international acquisitions and divestitures also arise periodically.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the international monthly financial close process. This includes ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, posting journal entries, preparing account balance reconciliations and reports.
  • Oversee international accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
  • Review the work processes of all areas supervised to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the output.
  • Manage and optimize cash flow by maintaining daily bank reconciliations for all international banks, manage incoming and outgoing wire and ACH payments.
  • Ensure timely payment of all international payrolls.
  • Collaborate with outside consultants to ensure successful international audit results and compliance for all subsidiaries.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses.
  • Ensuring accurate integration of any international acquisitions.
  • Supporting the Corporate Controller with workflow process improvement and pursuing special projects.
  • Ensure that all local reporting requirements are met including, but not limited to, Value-Added Tax and P11Ds.
  • Oversee third party service providers and manage internal resources.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA and other advanced credentials preferred (e.g. MBA)
  • 5-7 years of professional experience (3-4+ years public accounting and 2-3+ years industry).
  • Software or other technology industry experience preferred.
  • International subsidiary accounting and US GAAP experience is required.
  • Advanced Excel Skills as well as excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills with solid attention to detail and accuracy.

This position offers a total compensation range of $122,000.00 to $150,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
