Company Overview

At Infinity, we partner with world-class builders to turn contrarian ideas into enduring companies.

We’re not an incubator. We’re not a VC fund. We’re a holding company designed from the ground up to identify overlooked opportunities, pair them with unfair advantages (distribution, data, infrastructure, capital), and recruit exceptional founders to build generational businesses around them.

We’re assembling a cohort of founders who are ready to go deep—on hard problems, in weird markets, with the patience and clarity to build things that last.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting lead who will independently own and manage all accounting operations for our holding company and portfolio entities. This role requires deep expertise in US GAAP, the ability to establish and maintain accounting infrastructure across multiple entities, and comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee all accounting operations for the holding company and portfolio entities, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP

  • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual)

  • Manage all aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies across all entities

  • Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors

Multi-Entity Management
  • Maintain separate books and records for the holding company and each portfolio entity

  • Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidation processes

  • Develop and implement accounting procedures tailored to different business models and stages

  • Track equity ownership structures, cap tables, and investment valuations

  • Support new entity formation from an accounting infrastructure perspective

Technical Accounting
  • Research and apply appropriate US GAAP treatment for complex transactions including equity compensation, revenue recognition, R&D capitalization, and business combinations

  • Evaluate and implement accounting policies for emerging AI business models

  • Provide technical accounting guidance to leadership on strategic decisions

  • Navigate accounting for venture investments, convertible instruments, and equity transactions

Operations & Infrastructure
  • Own the entire accounting tech stack including GL, AP/AR, expense management, and reporting tools

  • Design and implement scalable processes and systems to support growth

  • Manage cash management, treasury operations, and assist with banking relationships

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assist with the payroll processes

  • Build and document comprehensive accounting procedures and workflows

Strategic Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial matters

  • Partner with Head of Finance and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Support fundraising activities with clean financials and due diligence responses

  • Provide financial insights to inform strategic decisions across portfolio companies

Required QualificationsExperience & Education

  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and holding company structures

  • Background in venture-backed or high-growth technology environments

Technical Skills
  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (Revenue), ASC 718 (Stock Compensation), and ASC 810 (Consolidation)

  • Proficiency with modern accounting software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for analysis and reporting

  • Experience implementing and optimizing accounting technology stack

  • Familiarity with venture studio, holding company, or private equity accounting preferred

Core Competencies
  • Independence: Proven ability to run an accounting function autonomously with minimal oversight

  • Ownership mentality: Takes full responsibility for accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement

  • Versatility: Comfortable handling everything from technical accounting to operational execution

  • Problem-solving: Creative and resourceful in navigating ambiguity and novel situations

  • Communication: Ability to translate complex accounting concepts for non-finance stakeholders

  • Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who has "been there, done that" in venture-backed environments. You're comfortable being the most senior accounting person in the organization, don't need a large team to be effective, and take pride in building clean, scalable processes. You enjoy the intellectual challenge of complex accounting problems and the operational satisfaction of running a tight ship. You understand that in a venture studio, every day brings something different, and you're energized by that variety.

What We Offer
  • Opportunity to build and shape the accounting function from the ground up
