Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee our legacy vision block of business. Work with other members of the team to develop monthly revenue estimates and communicate those results to Specialty Benefits leadership while addressing material variances to prior month, forecast, etc.
- Analyze commercial, private label, Medicaid and Medicare premium and administrative service revenues to ensure activity correctly reflected in the general ledger
- Support MLR reporting by compiling financials in state specified formats
- Prepare and present financial summary and related analytics of assigned legal entity to leadership/regulatory teams and manage ad-hoc reporting requests
- Support month-end close process as it relates to assigned area of responsibility ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all related revenues
- Regularly work with other accounting teams, account managers, underwriters and billing analysts to develop a deep understanding of the dental and vision product offerings
- Ensure all revenues, claims and membership are aligned on a customer-by-customer basis
- Prepare or approve assigned GL account reconciliations
- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
- Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
- Coach, provide feedback, and guide others

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting, finance or reporting
- Solid understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Hyperion Smartview/Essbase, Peoplesoft, Blackline
- SQL and/or SAS skills and experience working with large databases
- Proven independent, downstream thinker and problem solver
- Proven excellent communication skills
