Job Summary:

The Accountant, T&E and Credit Card is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s Travel & Expense (T&E) and corporate credit card programs, ensuring compliance, transparency, and cost efficiency.

This role focuses on enhancing expense visibility, driving cost savings, and enforcing policy compliance while identifying opportunities for process improvements. By analyzing spending trends and streamlining expense management, the analyst will help strengthen financial oversight and operational efficiency.

Collaborating with finance and business teams, this role will also support finance projects related to process optimization and budgeting initiatives to improve overall financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expense Reporting, Compliance & Employee Support – Review and approve expense reports, ensuring accuracy, policy adherence, and compliance with financial guidelines. Assist employees with expense-related issues, including missing receipts and report troubleshooting. Conduct audits and provide training on T&E policies to ensure proper expense management and compliance.
  • Journal Entry Preparation & Review – Prepare, book, and review journal entries related to corporate T&E expenses and corporate credit card transactions throughout the accounting period to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Month-End Close Support – Perform reconciliations for T&E and corporate card transactions, ensuring accurate and timely journal entry postings for month-end close. Work closely with accounting teams to support a smooth and efficient close process.
  • Audit Support – Assist with internal and external audits by gathering and providing necessary documentation related to corporate card transactions and expense reports. Ensure compliance with financial policies and support audit requests for reconciliations, approvals, and financial records.
  • Process Optimization – Identify inefficiencies, develop training materials, and enhance reporting for cost control.
  • Reporting & Analytics – Analyze spending trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial transparency.
  • Business Travel Event Support – Assist with creating ad hoc internal communication and guidance for major corporate events such as company kickoffs, sales kickoffs, and other large-scale business travel to ensure compliance and smooth expense management.
  • Corporate Card Management – Assist with administering corporate T&E cards, including issuance, cancellations, credit limits, compliance monitoring, and delinquency management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in expense management, corporate credit card administration, or financial operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting tools, and expense management systems (e.g., Concur, Expensify, SAP, Workday)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and policy compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a mid-size startup or large enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of corporate travel policies and industry best practices
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and automation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

California, New York City, Westchester County, NY, and Seattle, WA Compensation

Base ($59,000 to $84,000 / year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits

Colorado and Washington (excluding Seattle, WA) Compensation

Base ($53,000 to $76,000 / year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits
